Technology that knows your habits, understands your needs, and even senses your mood – this was the vision brought to life by LG Electronics Malaysia at the highly anticipated LG Convention 2025 held in Bangsar South.

Themed around “Affectionate Intelligence”, the showcase marked a bold step forward for LG as a Smart Life Solution Company. The brand unveiled a full suite of next-generation AI-powered appliances and consumer electronics designed not just to automate tasks but to connect with users on a human level.
“The next frontier isn’t just smarter technology – it’s more empathetic technology,” said Justin Choi, Managing Director of LG Electronics Malaysia.
“Our AI-powered products are designed to learn, anticipate, and respond to real human needs, helping Malaysians reclaim time for what truly matters.”
At the centre of attention were LG’s flagship OLED TVs, now enhanced with adaptive AI picture and sound processing. These televisions learn from viewing patterns and environmental factors to optimise screen and audio settings – bringing personalised entertainment to a whole new level.

Home comfort was redefined with the LG AI Air DualCool™ air conditioner, which impressed with its ability to analyse usage habits and automatically adjust temperature and airflow for both comfort and energy savings.

The crowd also experienced LG’s AI Direct Drive (AIDD) washing machine, which uses intelligent sensors to detect fabric types and load size before fine-tuning the wash cycle – ensuring better cleaning while protecting garments.

Another head-turner was the LG MoodUP refrigerator, combining function and fun with colour-changing LED door panels, Bluetooth connectivity, and ThinQ app compatibility. Its built-in speaker and ambient lighting modes allow homeowners to set the mood right in the kitchen – whether for a party or a relaxing night in.

Visitors also got a first-hand look at LG’s new microwave oven range, debuting in Malaysia with Smart Inverter Technology, antibacterial EasyClean™ interiors, and intuitive features for quick, even cooking and defrosting. Nearby, the new LG dishwasher, tailored to Malaysian kitchen needs, stood out with energy- and time-saving smart functions.

Health and wellbeing also took centre stage with the LG Healing-Me Arte Massage Chair, winner of the 2024 Red Dot Design Award, celebrated for its ergonomic comfort, elegant design, and easy controls. Air quality solutions were showcased through the PuriCare™ Majove DUAL Inverter Dehumidifier, equipped with ThinQ™ and Smart+ mode for automatic humidity regulation.

Completing the line-up was the LG PuriCare™ ATOM-U Water Purifier, designed for seamless integration into modern Malaysian homes with intelligent, space-saving design and easy operation.
The LG Convention 2025 reaffirms the brand’s direction toward empathetic innovation – where every product serves as a thoughtful companion, intuitively making life smoother, smarter, and more meaningful.
