This holiday season, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur has outdone itself with its “Joy in the City” celebrations, and we was lucky enough to indulge in their Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner at Checkers Café. From the moment we stepped in, the festive decorations and warm ambiance instantly set the holiday mood.
The buffet spread was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. we started with the Potato Salad with Crispy Turkey and Baby Gherkin, a perfect combination of creamy textures and a delightful crunch from the turkey bits. It was a simple yet classic starter that instantly brought holiday cheer to my plate.
For the mains, the Herb-Crusted Salmon with Pink Peppercorn Sauce was an absolute standout. The salmon was tender and flavorful, with the pink peppercorn sauce adding just the right hint of spice to elevate the dish. But the Oven-Roasted Spatchcock with Thyme and Apricot Glaze stole my heart. The balance of the savory thyme and the sweetness of the apricot glaze made every bite unforgettable.
However, the true star of the evening was the Lamb Leg with Maple Raisin Sauce. The lamb was marinated to perfection and slow-baked to tender, juicy goodness. The maple raisin sauce added a touch of sweetness that complemented the richness of the meat beautifully. It was easily one of the best lamb dishes we’ve had in a while.
To end the feast, the Poached Pear with Cinnamon was a delightful surprise. The pears were tender and infused with the warmth of cinnamon, making it the perfect comforting dessert to close the night.
For those looking for a more laid-back celebration, the Christmas Day High Tea Buffet offers a wonderful alternative. At just RM88 nett per adult, it’s a great way to spend a cozy afternoon with family and friends over festive treats.
The festivities don’t stop there—Dorsett Kuala Lumpur also knows how to ring in the New Year! Their Year-End Countdown Party promises an exciting evening with live performances and a buffet dinner that will set the stage for a memorable New Year’s Eve.
