Walking into the newly rebranded M World Hotel Petaling Jaya, the holiday spirit was in full swing. The first thing to catch our eye—and nose—was the stunning Gingerbread House in the lobby. The warm aroma of ginger and spices was irresistible, and the intricate details of this masterpiece, crafted by the hotel’s Engineering and Patisserie team, left us in awe. Inside, a festive wonderland awaited, filled with goodies like the moist and fruity Cherry Forest Log Cake, the zesty Orange Poppyseed Cake, and crunchy Ginger Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Chocolate Santas and handcrafted bonbons were too good to resist— We particularly loved the Yuzu and Balsamic Strawberry flavors.
Dinner at Indulge Coffee House was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the seafood on ice, featuring freshly shucked oysters, snow crabs, prawns, and crayfish that tasted like the ocean. Moving to the mains, the golden jumbo roasted chicken was succulent, while the buttery Beef Wellington melted in my mouth, perfectly paired with tangy cranberry and rich mushroom sauces. The Yorkshire pudding added a lovely classic touch. The seafood paella was aromatic and full of flavor, and the herb-brushed rack of lamb was so tender it practically fell off the bone.
The variety didn’t end there! From the fragrant lamb briyani and crispy roast duck to the perfectly spiced Mongolian stir fry, the international spread had something for everyone. We also couldn’t resist the comforting ratatouille, smoky BBQ baby back ribs, and chewy, flavorful spiced cuttlefish.
And then came dessert—oh, the desserts! The yule log cake was rich and indulgent, while the minced pies offered a sweet, fruity burst with every bite. Our personal favorite was the ginger crème brulee, with its perfectly caramelized top. The airy choux craquelin, the nostalgic Christmas pudding, and the playful chocolate fountain with endless toppings made it impossible to stop at just one serving.
This Christmas, M World Hotel isn’t just serving food—it’s delivering a magical experience.
