Double Champion Terra Wen Yu Ting Set to Compete in Hong Kong

Terra Wen Yu Ting, 27, contestant number 7, triumphed over 10 other finalists to win the title of Miss Chinese International and Malaysia Superwoman 2024. Alongside the crown, she also bagged the Best Smile Award, making her a double champion of the night. Terra will represent Malaysia in the TVB Miss Chinese International Pageant in Hong Kong in February 2025.
During the press conference, Terra expressed her gratitude to her family and friends for their unwavering support over the six months of preparation. “Their support made it possible for me to complete this journey. With the prize money, I hope to take them on a vacation to thank them for their understanding and help over these past months,” she said.
She also shared that she plans to start preparing for the TVB Miss Chinese International Pageant soon. “I will make sure to stay in top form, so I can better promote Malaysian culture in Hong Kong. Of course, before that, I also need to work on my Cantonese, so I can represent Malaysia well.”

One of the judges, famous Hong Kong actress Grace Chan, praised the high caliber of this year’s contestants, “They had only half a year of intensive training before performing in front of thousands, which is no small feat. Yet, they all did exceptionally well in various segments, including dialogue, runway, and talent performances.”
Grace Chan, who herself won the titles of Miss Hong Kong 2013 and Miss Chinese International 2014, reflected on her pageant experience, saying, “Pageantry was a major growth phase for me. Without that experience, I wouldn’t be who I am today.” She encouraged women interested in pageants to take the plunge while they’re young, as it can be a transformative challenge.
She also shared advice with Terra Wen, reminding her not to put too much pressure on herself. “The Miss Chinese International contestants are already national champions, so you’re already a winner. Just relax and enjoy the experience. Hong Kong will welcome you with open arms.”
Grace also took a moment to address local fans, clarifying, “I’m not pregnant!” She humorously pointed out that she wore an extremely tight dress just to dispel the rumors. On a lighter note, she revealed her plans to venture into children’s education, sharing her desire to pass on what she has learned to help children grow healthily.
The Miss Chinese International and Malaysia Superwoman 2024 competition was held at Enchanted City tonight, where the final 11 contestants had to compete in four segments: self-introduction, swimsuit, runway, and traditional evening gown. Only after completing these rounds could they advance to the top 5.
The top 5 finalists included Terra Wen Yu Ting (#7), Mia Tang Min Yan (#4), Carmen Li Jia Wen (#8), Jacy Chen Wen En (#9), and Chai Shu Wen (#11). They then had to face a challenging Q&A session from the hosts, using their wit and intelligence to answer questions in front of the judges.
Terra’s question was, “If you win the title, what charity would you promote?” She responded that she had personally experienced mental health challenges, and thus, she would promote mental health awareness to help others overcome life’s obstacles. Terra’s consistent smile throughout the event also earned her the Best Smile Goddess award.
The runner-up was Jacy Chen Wen En (#9), a university track and field athlete, who also won the **Most Photogenic Award**. Third place went to Mia Tang Min Yan (#4), a master’s student in architecture, who was also crowned the **Cultural Goddess**.
Jacy and Mia expressed their joy during interviews, reflecting on the valuable lessons and growth they gained over the six-month training. Both mentioned they would share their prize money with their families.

In a grand and lively atmosphere, the Miss Chinese International and Malaysia Superwoman 2024 competition concluded successfully.
