Nestled in Subang Jaya, there lies a unique restaurant that is beautifully decorated with old-taste decorations serving local traditional cuisines called Rasa Lama.
Rasa Lama a word of Malay origin, literally translates to ‘old taste’ or ‘familiar taste’ in the English language. The restaurant offers Asian-Fusion dishes that celebrate the flavors and textures of Malaysia deriving from 3 elements; enjoyable eating experience, authentic & unique, and freshest ingredients.
We had a chance to pay a visit to Rasa Lama to try out its traditional Asian Fusion cuisines. Based on their recommendation, we had ordered some of their highlights. We started with The Broccoli which was Grilled with Brinchang broccoli, sriracha sauce, onion pickle, garlic confit, and shaved Parmigiano.
We then had moved to the mains; Rasa Lama’s Rotisserie (half chicken served with coconut percik-fusion gravy, potato wedges, and sauteed mushroom), Duck Rendang (fragrant coconut rice served with whole duck leg, rendang fruit acar, spicy nyonya sambal and crackers), Seafood Curry Laksa (creamy and rich seafood curry laksa broth, whole Manukan lobster, prawn, and condiments) and Rasa Lama Spaghetti (served with daun selasih, garlic, herbs, shaved Parmigiano and lemon wedge).
We then ended our meal with Rasa Lama’s special dessert; Sago Gula Melaka (Sago served with Coconut Milk and Gula Melaka).
Overall it was a very pleasing experience dining in Rasa Lama. It not only has a great calming environment but its foods were unique too.
