Affordable Michelin Star Dining at Calia

Calia Malaysia; a Michelin Star restaurant is an Australian restaurant-to-retail brand that opened its first international outlet in Pavilion KL in July 2020. Right after our first MCO lockdown. The restaurant was also well known as one of the affordable Michelin Star dining specially curated by Chef Francisco Araya who has created a Modern Japanese menu for diners at Calia.

No wonder the restaurant had been always fully booked most of the time. While we were exploring the restaurants around Wangsa Maju, we had come across Calia, KL East Mall; the second outlet after Calia Pavilion.

Hence we had decided to try out its dishes in its restaurant. During our visit, we ordered its Piri-Piri Fresh Water Prawns, Saikyo New Zealand Lamb Rack, Aburi Salmon, Calia Wagyu Bowl with 63 Degree Egg, Wagyu Inaniwa Udon, and Miso Crumble Cheesecake.

Overall we were impressed with the uniquness of the taste of the dishes. Now we know why Calia had been recognized as one of the Michelin Star’s restaurant in the world and we are loving it too.
