Kuala Lumpur’s dining scene has no shortage of restaurants with stunning views, but Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur’s Skyline Soirée manages to stand out. Running daily from 12pm to 12am, the rooftop experience offers a vibrant spread of tapas, hearty mains, and indulgent desserts — all set against the glittering KLCC skyline. With the hotel’s new chef at the helm, the menu combines playful takes on bar bites with familiar local and international favourites, perfect for intimate dates or lively gatherings with friends.

Tapas That Tempt
The evening kicked off with a platter of Wanton Nachos, a fun fusion where crispy wonton skins replaced tortilla chips. Light, golden, and crunchy, they paired beautifully with tangy salsa — a creative twist that worked surprisingly well.
The Tandoori Chicken Popcorn was another highlight, bite-sized morsels marinated in spices and deep-fried until crisp, with a smoky heat that lingered just enough. For something classic, the Chicken Drummet delivered juicy meat with a sticky glaze, while the Anchovies Sausage combined salty ikan bilis with savoury sausage for a bold, umami-packed bite.

No Malaysian spread is complete without satay, and the Malaysian Chicken Satay didn’t disappoint. The skewers were tender, slightly charred, and paired with a rich, nutty peanut sauce that tied it all together.
Vegetarians will appreciate the Mushroom Bruschetta and Tomato Bruschetta. The former offered earthy, sautéed mushrooms on crisp bread, while the latter was refreshing with ripe tomatoes and a drizzle of olive oil — simple but well-executed.

Seafood lovers were not left out. The Buttermilk Mussel came coated in a creamy, slightly sweet sauce that complemented the brininess of the shellfish, while the Softshell Crab arrived perfectly crisp, with a crunch that made it instantly addictive. The Garlic Prawn was another crowd-pleaser, buttery and aromatic with just the right touch of garlic, while the Sautéed Mushroom provided a warm, comforting side option.

Pasta & Mains
For something heartier, the Alfredo Pasta was rich and creamy, balancing indulgence without being overly heavy. The Shrimp Marinara Pasta leaned in the opposite direction — tangy, slightly spicy, and topped with juicy shrimp that soaked up the sauce beautifully.

Snackers will enjoy the Chips and Salsa, a refreshing palate cleanser between heavier dishes, while the Chicken Burger and Big Burger catered to burger lovers with fluffy buns and well-seasoned patties.
The grill section stood out with the Australian Lamb Shoulder, tender and flavourful with a charred edge that paired perfectly with a red wine. The Chicken Chop was a homely favourite, comforting and well-seasoned, while the Grilled Barramundi offered a flaky, delicate option with a light char that enhanced its natural sweetness.

For those craving vegetarian options, the Vegetarian Chicken Makhni was a clever take on the North Indian classic, creamy and spiced just right, with mock chicken that carried the flavours well.
Sweet Ending
The evening concluded with a slice of Cheese Cake — smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. A simple yet satisfying end to a menu that balanced bold flavours with comforting classics.
