OVERSEA (海外天) is welcoming the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival with its latest “The Moonlight Collection”, bringing together traditional mooncake flavours with contemporary Momoyama-style pastries and snow skin creations.
Designed around the theme of reunion, the collection features a mix of familiar favourites and new flavours aimed at giving the centuries-old festive tradition a modern twist.
Among the highlights are three new creations — Momoyama Peach Tea Cream Cheese, Momoyama Toffee Caramel and Snowy Mango Boba.
The Momoyama Peach Tea Cream Cheese combines the delicate texture of Momoyama-style pastry with the refreshing aroma of peach tea and a smooth cream cheese filling. The Momoyama Toffee Caramel, meanwhile, pairs the pastry with rich toffee and mellow caramel for a full-bodied yet balanced sweetness.
For those who prefer snow skin mooncakes, the Snowy Mango Boba offers a playful combination of soft, chewy pastry, fragrant mango filling and boba pearls.
The 2026 collection also includes established favourites such as Chocolate Lava Mooncake and Matcha Red Bean Mochi Mooncake under the Momoyama-style range. Snow skin selections include Snowy Hazelnut Chocolate Ganache and Snowy Noble Delight with Mango.
OVERSEA’s signature mooncakes, including Shanghai with Single Yolk, Golden Starlight with Single Yolk and Noble Delight with Single Yolk, will also return as part of this year’s collection.
According to OVERSEA, each mooncake is made with attention to its filling, texture and sweetness, reflecting the brand’s more than five decades of mooncake-making tradition while introducing flavours designed to appeal to contemporary palates.
The collection is also available in the Lunar Rise Gift Set, priced at RM168 per box. The four-piece set comprises Momoyama Peach Tea Cream Cheese, Momoyama Toffee Caramel, Golden Starlight with Single Yolk and White Lotus with Single Yolk (Less Sweet).
An OVERSEA spokesperson said the collection was created to retain the flavours customers look forward to each year while introducing contemporary choices for a new generation.
“Mid-Autumn Festival is a moment for reunion and every mooncake embodies thoughts of loved ones, the longing to return home and its warmth,” the spokesperson said.
The 2026 Moonlight Collection is available for a limited period during the Mid-Autumn Festival season at selected OVERSEA outlets and designated sales locations. Customers can also place orders through OVERSEA’s official website.
