Durian aficionados and culture enthusiasts rejoice as the 3rd Malaysia International Durian & Cultural Feast returns with a grand opening at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Organized by DKing, in collaboration with LKE Malaysia, this event promises a delectable durian buffet and a celebration of Malaysian culture like never before.
The event commenced with an inspiring speech by Mr. Leron Lee, Founder of King and Malaysia International Durian & Cultural Fest 2023, setting the tone for an exciting and flavorful affair. Following him, Mr. Jeremy Chin, Co-Founder of LKE Musang Queen and joint organizer of Malaysia Durian & Cultural Fest 2023, shared his enthusiasm for this year’s festivities. Dati’ Dr. Ammar Abd. Shaper, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, graced the occasion as the esteemed Guest of Honour, further adding prestige to the event.
The festivities were officially inaugurated by the organizers, the Guest of Honour, and some of Malaysia’s very own VVIP guests, including renowned actor Aaron Aziz, supermodel Amber Chia, and entrepreneur Chan Fong.
Starting from today until September 10, 2023, the doors of Pavilion Bukit Jalil are open to the public, welcoming durian lovers from near and far to indulge in a high-quality and delicious durian buffet. In a remarkable lead-up to the event, over 3,000 durian enthusiasts, including 600 overseas guests, had already secured their tickets. Additionally, there were 1,200 durian fun run contestants eagerly awaiting the durian feast of the year.
At the event, visitors could also indulge in a cornucopia of durian delights beyond the sumptuous buffet. A delightful array of durian snacks, creatively crafted and meticulously prepared, awaited eager taste buds. From creamy durian pastries to zesty durian ice creams, the options were endless, catering to every durian lover’s palate.
For those seeking a bit of playful competition, a variety of games were on offer. Families and friends could bond over friendly durian-themed challenges, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the cultural fest. This year’s event boasts a unique partnership with MELIFE, a strategic collaborator, to make history by breaking Malaysia’s Book of Records on September 10, 2023, from 8 am to 8 pm. This extraordinary feat is not just for bragging rights; it’s all in the name of charity. The Malaysia Book of Records attempt will be witnessed by the esteemed Guest of Honour, Y.M. Tengku Dato Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi bin Y.A.M Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj, adding an air of anticipation and excitement to this already thrilling event.
