Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) marked its 60th anniversary with a significant step forward in its business evolution, unveiling a new Ready-to-Eat (RTE) product range as part of its expanding integrated food ecosystem.

The launch signals the company’s entry into the prepared meals segment, reflecting shifting consumer preferences toward convenient, high-quality food options. Speaking at the event, Executive Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Teh Wee Chye described the milestone as both a celebration of legacy and a commitment to the future.

He highlighted MFM’s continued emphasis on innovation, sustainability and consistent product quality — principles that have underpinned the company’s reputation among Malaysian consumers for generations. He added that the expansion aligns with MFM’s broader role in supporting national food security through resilient and dependable food production systems.
The newly introduced RTE range builds on MFM’s vertically integrated operations, extending from its advanced processing capabilities at Dindings Poultry Processing Sdn Bhd in Manjung, Perak, into complete meal solutions. The current lineup features four protein-rich, microwaveable offerings tailored for time-pressed consumers, including charcoal-grilled satay, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Kicap and Ayam Kam Heong.
Designed with convenience and safety in mind, the products also emphasise nutritional accessibility and halal compliance, ensuring broader consumer confidence amid evolving dietary needs.

MFM noted that the RTE portfolio is developed for both domestic and international markets, aligning with global clean-label trends and regulatory standards. This move supports Malaysia’s ambition to strengthen its standing as a global hub for premium halal food production.
As part of its market rollout, the company will introduce a reality-based cooking programme titled Rasa Warrior Showdown, alongside a series of digital content initiatives aimed at demonstrating the versatility of its products across everyday and elevated culinary applications.
The launch event also featured a live cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Chef Fikree, who showcased practical preparation techniques using the new RTE meals. Attendees were treated to curated tasting sessions that highlighted the integration of MFM ingredients into familiar dishes.

Today, the Group operates across a fully integrated value chain spanning flour milling, poultry integration and aquaculture, with regional operations in Vietnam and Indonesia. Its combined daily wheat milling capacity stands at approximately 10,000 metric tonnes, with Vietnam alone producing over 700,000 metric tonnes of flour annually.
In the poultry segment, MFM incorporates Industry 4.0 technologies such as climate-controlled environments and precision farming systems to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of animal welfare. Through its joint venture with Tyson Foods, Inc. under Dindings Tyson Sdn Bhd, the company adopts global best practices, enabling a production capacity of up to 400,000 birds daily to meet national protein demand.
The Group’s supply chain resilience is further strengthened through its partnership with Toyota Tsusho Corporation via Premier Grain Sdn Bhd, ensuring stable access to high-quality feed ingredients through an extensive global sourcing network.
MFM attributes its sustained growth to a people-centric culture that prioritises continuous learning and mentorship. From its early days of on-the-job training to its current workforce development programmes, the company has cultivated a collaborative environment recognised for workplace excellence.
Looking ahead, MFM plans to deepen investments in innovation, talent development and strategic partnerships as it adapts to evolving consumer demands and industry trends, reinforcing its position as a key player in the regional food manufacturing landscape.
