Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur rolls out The Imperial Phoenix Empress Feast menus for Lunar New Year

Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur is marking the Year of the Horse with a line-up of Grand Imperial Chinese Banquets (The Imperial Phoenix Empress Feast), led by its most premium festive offering priced at RM3,388 nett per table of 10 persons, alongside two other celebratory set menus designed for large family reunions and corporate gatherings.

Available from 1 February to 3 March 2026 for both lunch and dinner, the banquets are served at Roselle Coffee House and the hotel’s dedicated banquet halls, continuing the tradition of communal Cantonese dining centred on symbolic ingredients and time-honoured cooking techniques.

The Imperial Phoenix Empress Feast Set Menu

The highlight of the series is the RM3,388 nett set menu, which places emphasis on luxury seafood and classic festive flavours.

The meal opens with Lobster Yee Sang with Assorted Fruits, Vegetables and Crispy Fish Skin, where sweet lobster meat elevates the familiar prosperity toss. Crisp textures and fresh fruit notes keep the dish light yet celebratory, setting an upbeat tone for the courses to follow.

A comforting Double-Boiled Sakura Chicken Soup with Peru Maca, Dried Scallop, Abalone and Bacon follows. Clear and refined, the soup delivers layered natural sweetness from the seafood, balanced by the savoury richness of bacon, making it both nourishing and indulgent.

Seafood continues with Steamed Red Grouper with “Hainan” Yellow Chilli Sauce. The fish is delicately cooked to maintain its firm, flaky texture, while the aromatic yellow chilli sauce adds gentle heat and tang without overwhelming the natural flavour of the grouper.

The banquet then presents a classic pairing of Hong Kong-style Roasted Duck and Hakka Salted Chicken. The duck features crisp skin and juicy meat with deep roasted notes, while the salted chicken offers a cleaner, subtly savoury contrast that highlights tenderness and balance.

One of the most crowd-pleasing dishes arrives next with Deep-Fried Crispy Salted Egg Cereal Prawns. The prawns are coated in fragrant cereal and salted egg yolk, delivering a rich, buttery crunch with a hint of sweetness.

The centrepiece of the menu is the Braised 6-Head Australian Abalone with Sea Cucumber and Seasonal Vegetables. Slow-braised until tender, the abalone carries a luxurious mouthfeel, complemented by sea cucumber that absorbs the sauce beautifully, while vegetables provide freshness and contrast.

For the staple, Fried Jasmine Rice with Waxed Duck Meat, Foie Gras Sausage and Sakura Prawns brings the savoury courses to a satisfying close. The rice is fragrant and well-separated, enriched with smoky, umami-laden ingredients that add depth to each bite.

Dessert begins with Chilled Chrysanthemum Tea with Chia Seeds, Figs and Longan, offering a floral, lightly sweet refreshment before ending with Deep-Fried Nian Gao with Sweet Potato and Yam, crisp on the outside and soft within — a traditional finale symbolising growth and progress in the year ahead.

Two additional banquet menus

In addition to the Flaming Stallion Celebration, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur is also offering two other Grand Imperial Chinese Banquet set menus:

  • Fortune of FlavoursRM2,888 nett per table of 10

  • Blazing Steed GalaRM3,088 nett per table of 10

While more moderately priced, both menus maintain a strong focus on festive Cantonese specialities and premium ingredients, making them suitable options for larger gatherings seeking a refined yet slightly lighter banquet experience.
