Titled “A Heartwarming World – 12 Years of Huawei Photography,” this landmark event took place on May 23, 2024, at the Sentul Glass Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This venue, nestled within a private park, hosted the largest photography exhibition in Huawei’s history.
The event also marked the official launch of the HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2024. Now in its eighth year, this annual competition celebrates Huawei’s cutting-edge smartphone photography. It encourages participants to harness the power of Huawei’s XMAGE imaging technology, fostering creativity and cultural expression through photography.
Celebrating “A Heartwarming World – 12 Years of Huawei Photography”
The exhibition, themed “A Heartwarming World,” showcases nearly 300 photographs taken with Huawei smartphones, selected from millions of submissions. These images capture warmth, tranquility, and brightness from around the world, emphasizing everyday human experiences. This theme aligns with HUAWEI XMAGE’s philosophy, ‘The Power of Image,’ which aims to inspire creativity and appreciation through advanced imaging technology.
Over the past decade, Huawei has significantly advanced mobile photography. The exhibition highlights this evolution with works from Huawei’s smartphone series over the past 12 years. Through innovation and global engagement, including photography competitions and community events, Huawei has promoted the global culture of mobile photography.
The HUAWEI P Series has now evolved into the HUAWEI Pura Series, integrating exceptional photography, aesthetic design, and style. According to the latest DXOMARK review, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra tops the DXOMARK Smartphone Camera Rankings with an impressive score of 163 points.

This year introduces new categories such as “Moments,” “Faces,” “So Far So Close,” and “Style,” highlighting Huawei’s strengths in various photography styles. New awards like “Best of Pura Series” and “Best of Mate Series” celebrate diverse artistic expressions using Huawei’s flagship imaging technology.
Esteemed judges, including Nini Yusof, CEO of Media Prima Television Networks & Primeworks Studios, and renowned photographers Abeden Mung and Bibo Aswan, alongside Li Changzhu, Vice President of Handsets Product Line at Huawei, will select the most compelling photographic stories.
