Golden Set: A Sumptuous Culinary Affair
During our visit, we indulged in the Golden Set, a feast designed to honor the festive spirit while tantalizing the palate.
The meal began with the Hokkaido Scallop Sashimi, Crispy Fish Skin, and Truffle Oil Yee Sang, an elevated take on the traditional dish. Fresh Hokkaido scallops added a sweet, buttery note, perfectly complemented by the crunch of crispy fish skin and the aromatic hint of truffle oil. Tossing it together was a delightful way to start the celebration. The Braised Fish Maw Broth with Crab Meat and Dried Scallop followed, offering a luxurious and velvety soup that was brimming with premium ingredients. The fish maw and dried scallops imparted a delicate yet rich flavor, enhanced by generous chunks of sweet crab meat. Next came the Steamed Chicken with Cordyceps Mushroom Gravy, a dish that delivered both tenderness and depth. The earthy, umami-rich Cordyceps mushroom gravy elevated the simplicity of steamed chicken to new heights.

The Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns with Szechuan-Style Sauce were a standout, featuring perfectly cooked, succulent prawns bathed in a spicy Szechuan sauce that left a pleasant heat on the palate. The seafood offerings continued with the Steamed Dragon Tiger Grouper with Chopped Scallions and Garlic, a dish that highlighted the freshness of the grouper. Its delicate, flaky texture paired beautifully with the aromatic scallions and garlic for a timeless flavor combination. For a hearty course, the Braised Sea Cucumber and Shiitake Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables provided a comforting medley of textures. The tender sea cucumber and meaty shiitake mushrooms paired wonderfully with the fresh seasonal greens.

The Fried Glutinous Rice and Dried Oyster Wrapped in Lotus Leaf brought a fragrant and savory touch to the meal. The lotus leaf added an aromatic depth, while the dried oyster lent a subtle smokiness to the dish. Desserts offered a delightful conclusion to the feast. The Chilled Honeydew Puree with Pumpkin Konnyaku was light and refreshing, cleansing the palate after the rich courses. Meanwhile, the Steamed Rice Cake with Grated Coconut and Red Bean Wagashi was a nostalgic treat, combining chewy textures with a delicate sweetness.
