This Ramadan, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya invites guests to a gastronomic adventure with its Ramadhan bersama chef nightly buffet at the Cinnamon Coffee House. The buffet promises an enchanting experience with village-style stalls and festive lighting, offering a vast array of classic Malaysian fare under the theme Sajian 14 Negeri, representing dishes from all 14 states of Malaysia.

Among the standout highlights, the Whole Roasted Lamb Stuffed with Biryani stole the show with its aromatic and succulent flavors. Each bite was a sumptuous treat, capturing the essence of celebration with tender meat infused with spices.
The Mixed Gearbox Soup was another memorable dish. Rich and robust, the broth was infused with a medley of beef cartilage, stomach, lung, and tongue, boasting flesh that slid effortlessly off the bone. The marrow, sipped through a straw, was a delightful indulgence that added to the soup’s hearty nature.

Traditional Malaysian gulai dishes were cooked to perfection, with recipes like Gulai Kawah Kambing, Siput Sedut Masak Lemak, Ikan Patin Tempoyak, and Asam Pedas Ikan Pari. Each dish simmered for at least two hours, yielding deep, complex flavors and wonderfully dense textures.

For those who relish the comforting notes of rendang, the Rendang Belanga Tradisional was fragrant and buttery, featuring tender cuts of chicken, beef, and lamb that melted in the mouth.
A Middle Eastern twist arrived in the form of Chicken Makluba Rice, a standout that paired harmoniously with the rich Malaysian curries and rendangs available throughout the buffet.
The buffet extended its homage to Malaysia’s diverse culinary heritage with dishes like Ikan Tenggiri Goreng Berempah, Daging Masak Merah, Ketam Masak Kari Utara, and Pajeri Nenas. Each plate was a colorful testament to the flavors spanning the nation’s north, south, east, and west.

Seafood lovers rejoiced at the grilling station, where freshly grilled ikan pari, ikan kembung, udang, and sotong showcased the bounty of the sea. The smoky char and delicate seasoning allowed the freshness of each ingredient to shine.
The salad section was a burst of color and texture, featuring Malaysian classics like Kerabu Tauge, Kerabu Ayam, Kerabu Kacang Botol, Ulam-ulaman, and Acar Nyonya. Each was a fresh and tangy palate cleanser that complemented the richness of the main dishes.
No Ramadan feast would be complete without Ketupat and Lemang, accompanied by crispy delights like Popiah, Keropok Lekor, Pisang Goreng, and Cucur. These deep-fried favorites brought a satisfying crunch and nostalgia with every bite.

For those with a sweet tooth, the buffet didn’t disappoint, offering a spread of Satay, Roti John, Apam Balik, assorted Kuih, Agar-agar, Cendol, Ais Kacang, and Ice Cream Potong. Each dessert was a delightful end to a hearty meal, bringing the vibrant sweets of Malaysia to the table.
Beyond Malaysian specialties, the international offerings were just as enticing. A grilling station featured premium cuts like Wagyu Beef, Lamb, and Chicken, alongside a seafood station with Lobster, Prawns, Clam, and Mussels. The Japanese selection boasted sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, and a tempura station, while Indian, Chinese, and Western dishes ensured a truly global feast.
Priced at RM238 nett per adult, RM119 nett per child, and RM168 per senior citizen, this buffet offers exceptional value, especially with early bird pricing available before February 15, 2025.
