Santa’s Magical Village Returns Bigger and Brighter at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur

For the second year running, the Grand Ballroom at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre transforms into a joyful winter fantasy with the return of Santa’s Magical Village, a Yuletide-themed dining experience that blends festive fun with a thoughtfully curated buffet. Held from December 21 to 26, 2025, this immersive event once again proves why it has become a much-anticipated year-end highlight for families in the city .

Created in collaboration with event planner La Memoria, Santa’s Magical Village goes beyond a typical hotel buffet. The ballroom is reimagined as Santa’s secret workshop, complete with whimsical décor and interactive zones such as the Igloo Castle, Bubble Factory, Marshmallow Castle, creative workshops and carnival-style games. Children can write letters to Santa, enjoy hands-on activities and, of course, meet Santa himself, while adults settle in for a relaxed festive dinner .

A Festive Buffet with Crowd-Pleasing Comfort

Food remains a strong anchor of the experience, with the buffet focusing on hearty, family-friendly dishes that suit the celebratory mood.

The Cajun-brined Roasted Whole Chicken stands out as a clear crowd favourite. The skin is well-seasoned with gentle Cajun spices, delivering warmth rather than heat, while the meat remains tender and juicy — exactly the kind of comforting roast one expects at Christmas.

Equally festive is the Herb-marinated Lamb Leg with Carrots. The lamb is roasted until succulent, with the herb marinade lending a savoury aroma that pairs well with the natural sweetness of the carrots. It’s a satisfying option for those looking for a richer, more indulgent main.

Seafood lovers are not left out. The Seared Seabass with Caper Cream Sauce offers a lighter contrast to the roasts. The fish is delicately cooked, flaky and moist, while the caper cream sauce adds a pleasant tang without overpowering the seabass’s clean flavour.

For younger diners — and the young at heart — the Mini Chicken Burgers are a hit. Soft buns, juicy patties and straightforward flavours make them an easy, no-fuss option that kids keep returning to between games and activities.

Ending on a Sweet Note

Desserts lean towards classic comfort. The White Coffee Crème Brûlée is a highlight, combining Malaysia’s beloved white coffee notes with a silky custard base. The caramelised sugar topping provides a satisfying crack, followed by a smooth, lightly aromatic finish.

An array of Assorted Festive Desserts rounds out the spread, offering colourful, bite-sized sweets that are ideal for sampling. While not overly complex, they fit well with the playful, family-centric theme of the event.

More Than Just Dinner

What sets Santa’s Magical Village apart is how seamlessly the food is integrated into the overall experience. Parents can dine at ease while children are entertained, making it feel less like a formal hotel buffet and more like a shared holiday celebration. Priced at MYR 228 nett per adult and MYR 188 nett per child, with complimentary entry for toddlers below five, it remains an accessible festive outing for families .

As Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre brings Santa’s Magical Village back for its second year, the event feels more confident and polished — a festive dining experience that successfully balances good food, playful storytelling and meaningful family moments.
