Midea breaks new ground with nationwide launch of 18 brand stores and debut of SMART MASTER series

Midea Malaysia has entered the record books following the simultaneous opening of 18 Midea-branded outlets across the country, marking the first time in the electrical appliance industry that so many stores have been launched at once. The feat was officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records.

The historic rollout includes 15 brand stores, two Midea Pro-Shops and a newly refreshed Kuala Lumpur showroom, instantly expanding the brand’s physical presence from zero to 18 locations in a single day. The move signals Midea’s intensified push to strengthen its footprint in the Malaysian market and bring its smart home solutions directly to consumers nationwide.

Managing Director of Midea Malaysia, Mark Tam, said the bold expansion is designed to change how Malaysians interact with the brand. With more touchpoints available, customers can now experience products in person, receive professional advice, and enjoy enhanced after-sales support closer to home. He added that the nationwide presence positions Midea strongly in the increasingly competitive home appliance sector.

The launch event was carried out in unison across all locations with a synchronised countdown, as store signboards were revealed simultaneously. A live broadcast connected all venues, reinforcing the sense of unity within Midea’s growing retail network. The ceremony also included introductions of the new store owners and the presentation of the official Malaysia Book of Records certificate.

Alongside the store openings, Midea introduced its latest innovation – the SMART MASTER series. Equipped with AI-driven and IoT-enabled technology, the new range is designed to offer a more connected, intuitive and responsive home environment. The system is able to adapt to user habits through smart sensors, remote controls and app connectivity, creating a seamless smart living experience.

Visitors to the new outlets also had the opportunity to preview other innovative offerings, including products from the Avigator and Insta-Fit Master series, the Laundry Suite, a robotic vacuum cleaner, bladeless fan, and RFID-enabled kitchen appliances such as cooker hoods and built-in hobs.

Midea’s focus on energy efficiency remains central to its product development. By combining intelligent features with energy-saving engineering, the brand aims to provide long-term value while reducing overall power consumption for Malaysian households.

Looking forward, Midea is targeting an estimated 20% growth by 2026, supported by continued retail expansion, stronger partnerships and an enhanced after-sales network. With a robust product pipeline and emphasis on innovation, the company is set to further reinforce its position as one of the fastest-growing home appliance brands in the country.

To mark the store openings, Midea is rolling out limited-time promotions throughout December, including free gifts with selected purchases, Spin & Win opportunities for customers who meet minimum spending, and a Spend & Win contest offering a chance to take home attractive prizes.
