HEINEKEN® Launches Pop-Up Music Series to Break Social Bubbles and Refresh Music Culture

In a bold move to reshape how Malaysians experience music and connection, HEINEKEN® has officially kicked off its latest Refresh Your Music campaign with an immersive music pop-up series titled REFRESHING SESSIONS. These events are designed to go beyond playlists, uniting music fans in unexpected places while encouraging social discovery and real-world conversations.

The series was unveiled at an exclusive media preview held at Good Juju Barbell Club, where HEINEKEN® transformed the lifestyle gym into a high-octane party space. Guests were treated to a genre-blending DJ performance by Blink and DJ Ashley Lau, who performed face-to-face on double decks in a unique set that fused different musical styles into one electrifying experience.

Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights has always been more than a slogan. It’s a movement to break routines, inspire new friendships, and challenge the ordinary,” said Shaun Lim, Marketing Manager of Heineken Malaysia. “This year, we’re turning everyday spaces into dynamic music hubs, all in the name of refreshing how people experience music—and each other.”

Through a collaboration with Timeleft, a social discovery app that connects strangers for real conversations, attendees can join REFRESHING SESSIONS and be paired with new acquaintances in real time. It’s all part of HEINEKEN®’s commitment to sparking meaningful interactions—one beat and one bond at a time.

Upcoming REFRESHING SESSIONS will continue this disruptive energy by taking over unconventional venues such as QRA supermarket and Eslite Bookstore, proving that a vibrant music scene doesn’t need a club to come alive. Each pop-up will feature dynamic DJ collaborations, curated to surprise and delight participants as they groove down grocery aisles or vibe between bookshelves.

Participants also stand a chance to score exclusive access to the Refresh Your Music 2025 finale in June, a grand-scale event that will feature an international DJ and genre-fusing musical acts. Additionally, purchases of HEINEKEN® products may unlock the chance to win a limited-edition HEINEKEN® vinyl player.
