Semeja Cafe is expanding its presence with a new outlet in Bandar Puteri Bangi, offering diners a broad selection of Malaysian favourites, Western classics, fusion dishes, desserts and specialty beverages.

The new outlet at 23G, Jalan 3A/7, Bandar Puteri Bangi, 43000 Kajang, Selangor, will officially open to the public on 25 September 2026.
Designed to cater to different dining preferences, Semeja Cafe Bangi features a menu that ranges from the Classic English Breakfast and grilled meats to local favourites such as nasi lemak with ayam berempah, nasi goreng kambing, sup kambing and rojak pasembor.
The extensive menu also includes pasta dishes, seafood, desserts and a selection of healthy drinks and coffee mocktails.
Among the highlights is the Classic English Breakfast, a hearty platter comprising two fried eggs, beef bacon, chicken sausages, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans and buttered toast. The combination provides a substantial start to the day, with savoury meats complemented by the freshness of grilled tomatoes and mushrooms.
For diners seeking traditional local flavours, the Traditional Spiced Sup Kambing offers slow-simmered mutton in a rich and aromatic spiced broth. The mutton is cooked until tender, while the fragrant spices give the soup its characteristic warmth and depth.

The menu also incorporates contemporary interpretations of familiar dishes. The Aglio Olio Duck Breast combines al dente pasta with olive oil, garlic and dried chilli flakes, topped with generous slices of smoked duck breast and finished with fresh parsley. The smoky, savoury duck adds another layer of flavour to the classic garlic-and-chilli pasta.
Another fusion offering is the Creamy Seafood Tom Yum, which pairs al dente pasta and seafood with a creamy tom yum sauce infused with local herbs. The dish brings together the richness of a creamy pasta sauce with the aromatic, spicy and tangy character associated with tom yum.

For those looking for a more substantial Malaysian meal, the Semeja The Prime Nasi Goreng Kambing features wok-tossed fried rice with a smoky and richly spiced profile, accompanied by generous pieces of tender mutton.
The café’s Western selections include the Flame-Grilled Lamb Chops, marinated with local herbs and garlic before being flame-grilled to create a smoky, charred exterior while retaining the tenderness of the meat.

The Pan-Seared Salmon Fillet offers a lighter seafood option, featuring a tender salmon fillet with crisp skin. Light seasoning allows the natural flavour of the fish to remain prominent, while a citrus wedge provides a refreshing accompaniment.

Malaysian favourites with a café twist
Among the local selections, the Semeja Nasi Lemak With Ayam Berempah gives the country’s well-known staple a café-style presentation.
The fragrant coconut rice is prepared with pandan leaves and served with house-made spicy-sweet sambal, crispy anchovies, toasted peanuts, hard-boiled egg and cucumber, accompanied by ayam berempah.
The menu also features Rafiq Rojak Pasembor, a colourful combination of crispy fritters, fried tofu, egg, jicama and cucumber covered with a warm, sweet-and-spicy peanut gravy.

Meanwhile, the Semeja Signature Mamak Fried Noodles draws inspiration from Malaysia’s popular Mamak-style noodles. Yellow noodles are stir-fried with tofu, eggs and fresh greens in a rich and spicy sauce, with wok-fried flavours adding depth to the dish.
Malaysian-inspired desserts
Semeja Cafe’s dessert selection continues the Malaysian-inspired theme.
The Semeja Pandan Coconut Jelly offers a light and refreshing finish, with a naturally sweet tropical flavour and smooth, slightly bouncy texture.

The Puteri Jendol takes familiar Malaysian dessert flavours and incorporates them into a layered cake. It features gula melaka sponge and pandan sponge filled with gula melaka whipped cream, cendol and red bean paste.
Another distinctive dessert is Hitam Manis, made with bamboo charcoal sponge layered with gula melaka cream cheese frosting and homemade pulut hitam. The combination brings together contemporary cake presentation with traditional Malaysian ingredients.

Healthy drinks and coffee mocktails
The beverage menu includes a range of fruit-and-vegetable-based drinks under the Semeja Healthy Drinks selection.
The Ultimate Hydra-Boost combines watermelon, orange, green apple and celery, creating a fruity and refreshing drink with a crisp vegetable note.
The Crisp Emerald Reset places greater emphasis on celery and tart green apple, complemented by a small amount of citrus for additional freshness.
Coffee enthusiasts can also explore Semeja Cafe’s coffee mocktails, which combine coffee with fruit and dessert-inspired flavours.
The Crème Brûlée Sour Cold Brew combines cold brew coffee with 1883 Vanilla, fresh pineapple and lime. The result brings together the bold character of cold brew with sweet vanilla and bright citrus and tropical notes.
The Caramel Twist Croissant Latte, meanwhile, features espresso, 1883 Caramel and steamed micro-foam milk, topped with toasted almond flakes for an added nutty element.
