Luckin Coffee Malaysia Achieves Halal Certification, Strengthening Trust with Local Consumers

Luckin Coffee Malaysia has officially earned Halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) at its Sunway Velocity 2 and AEON Maluri outlets, marking a major milestone for the international coffee chain in the country. The certification reflects the brand’s commitment to upholding halal standards while delivering high-quality beverages that Malaysians can enjoy with confidence.

“Achieving Halal certification is a proud moment for Luckin Coffee Malaysia. It allows us to assure every customer that our beverages meet the highest standards of quality and integrity,” said Dr. Jeff Lim, CEO of Luckin Coffee Malaysia. “This milestone strengthens our connection with the community and reaffirms our promise to provide a trusted coffee experience for all Malaysians.”

Since its Malaysian debut in January 2025, Luckin Coffee has focused on offering a technology-driven, seamless retail experience combining convenience, innovation, and affordability. As a brand operated by Malaysians, the company emphasizes Halal compliance as a core part of its local commitment.

“Halal standards are central to our operations,” Dr. Lim added. “From ingredient sourcing and supplier selection to premise practices and beverage preparation, every step is carefully monitored to ensure compliance and safety for our customers.”

Ahmad Aminurrashid bin Abd Aziz, Halal Compliance Manager for Luckin Coffee Malaysia, highlighted the extensive efforts behind the certification: “Even before launching in Malaysia, we prioritised Halal certification, establishing a dedicated Halal and quality assurance team to guarantee compliance across all operational aspects. This diligence allowed for a smooth and timely certification process.”

With Halal certification secured, Luckin Coffee Malaysia is now accelerating plans for nationwide expansion. Additional outlets will progressively obtain Halal certification, further enhancing accessibility and inclusivity for coffee lovers across the country.

To celebrate this achievement, Luckin Coffee Malaysia is offering all drinks for RM3.99 at participating outlets in the Klang Valley from 30–31 October 2025, excluding Highlands Hotel, Genting. The limited-time promotion is designed to thank fans for their support and to mark the brand’s Halal milestone.
