During our recent visit, we had the privilege of sampling some of the restaurant’s signature dishes specially curated for the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities. To commence our culinary adventure, we delved into the symbolic toss of prosperity with a delightful serving of Salmon Yee Sang. This auspicious start set the tone for the feast that followed, beginning with the Private Dining Room Set 1.

The Private Dining Room Set 1 took our taste buds on a journey through Sichuan’s culinary landscape. The braised trio of beef in Sichuan chili sauce was a symphony of bold and spicy flavors, showcasing the skillful balance of heat and richness. The Chicken in spicy sauce delivered a delightful kick, while the Century Eggs with Chilli and tofu and Marinated black fungus with Sichuan spicy and sour sauce added layers of complexity to the meal.

The Sichuan Chicken consommé with matsutake mushrooms served as the perfect prelude to the main courses. The broth, infused with the essence of Sichuan spices, was a comforting yet invigorating start, highlighting the attention to detail in the preparation.

Moving on to the mains, the special sautéed abalone with Sichuan pepper stole the spotlight with its succulent texture and a subtle numbing heat from the pepper. The Sichuan-style stewed seabass with preserved vegetables showcased the kitchen’s mastery in preserving the natural flavors of the fish while introducing a delightful interplay of textures.

The slow-cooked slides of beef, Sichuan-style stir-fried lamb ribs, and Kung Pao chicken with cashew nuts all boasted distinct flavors that complemented one another, creating a satisfying and diverse ensemble of dishes. The Sichuan-style wok-fried cabbage offered a refreshing balance to the meat-centric selections, and the seafood fried rice brought the meal to a comforting and fulfilling conclusion.

The special seasonal fruit platter was a refreshing finale, cleansing the palate with a burst of natural sweetness. The entire dining experience was a testament to the Sichuan Kitchen’s commitment to authenticity and innovation, leaving a lasting impression that extends beyond the Lunar New Year festivities.
