Sony is known for its great audio products, and I’ve been a fan since my first Sony Walkman. Now, Sony has introduced the Sony Inzone Buds, made especially for gamers. In this review, we’ll test these earbuds and share our thoughts.

What’s Inside the Box

When you open the box, you’ll find the Sony Inzone Buds in a sturdy charging case. The case has a pairing button, a USB-C port for charging, and an LED that shows battery and pairing status. Inside the case, you’ll find the Inzone Buds and a USB-C 2.4GHz dongle. There are also six extra ear tips of different sizes and a USB-C cable for charging.

The design of the Inzone Buds is impressive. They have a premium build and user-friendly touch controls. The case has a flat base, so it’s stable on any surface, but it’s a bit wide. The earbuds themselves come in white or black, with a simple and classy design. We like the contrast between the matte chassis and glossy touch controls.

The earbuds are marked with left and right sides, and they fit comfortably without slipping. Even during long listening sessions, they stay in place and don’t make your ears warm or irritated.

The included USB-C dongle has settings for PS5, mobile, and PC use. It’s easy to switch between them, and a white LED shows when it’s on. There’s also a reset button for reverting to the default USB transceiver option.

Sound Quality

The Inzone Buds deliver excellent audio performance. Music and vocals sound clear and detailed, making them great for electronic tracks and powerful vocal performances.

PS5 Gaming Experience. On the PS5, the Inzone Buds benefit from 3D audio support, including Sony’s Tempest 3D and Dolby Atmos, which enhances the gaming experience.

Making or Taking Calls. The built-in microphone is good for phone calls, and voice chat in games is decent, though it might require some adjustments to be louder.

InZone Hub App. We had been used to the Sony Headphone Connects for Mobile. But for PC users, the Inzone Hub app could allows for more audio customization, but the setup process requires taking pictures of your ears to create a personalized audio profile.

Battery Life

The Inzone Buds impress with their long battery life. They provide 12 hours of use on a single charge through a 2.4GHz connection, and the charging case adds another 12 hours. That’s enough power for a full day of use.

The Sony Inzone Buds are excellent gaming earbuds suitable for PS5, mobile, and PC. They offer detailed audio, outstanding battery life, and effective noise cancellation, making them one of the best gaming earbuds on the market.

During our testing, the Inzone Buds delivered rich audio quality, a wide dynamic range, and support for spatial audio, making them ideal for all kinds of media and games. Their impressive battery life is the cherry on top. You won’t be disappointed with these earbuds.
