Premium Iberico at Iberico Kitchen

Iberico fans, have you found your favorite Iberico shops in town? There were limited places that serves Iberico in their restaurants as it was a slice of imported meat which is also not cheap. But what makes Ilberico meat so special?

Iberico Pork comes from the distinctive Black Iberian Pig. Native to areas of Portugal and central and southern Spain, the pigs’ diet of acorns and elements of the natural forests in these areas impacts the meat directly, giving it a nutty, evocative flavor. Black Iberian Pigs – also known as ‘Pata Negra’ – are bred to contain a higher fat content than many other pigs.

That means that the pork they produce has a delightful tenderness that is sure to impress foodies and particularly pork fans yet to sample what Iberico has to offer. So if you’re not an Iberico fan yet and are looking to broaden your culinary horizons with a slice of new meat to try, Iberico pork is a great way to go.

The perfect Iberico pork has to be created in the right environment. The pigs should be allowed to roam and eat the local natural cuisine, and should also feed for at least two seasons to help garner that truly distinct flavor. We recently discovered Iberico Kitchen that serves only premium quality Iberico at an affordable price.

While browsing through their menus, I realized that the restaurant offers different type of Ilberico parts which produces a different type of texture and taste. To satisfy our curiosity we had ordered one for each type of its Ilberico in their menu; Iberico Spare Ribs (the loin ribs and it is the top back part of the Iberico – well known for its tenderness and meat with superb flavor), Iberico Secreto Jowl (Spain’s Best Pork Cut known for its well marbled texture and flavorful taste), Iberico Abanico (the part that wraps the Iberico ribs from the outside) and Iberico Collar Aglio Olio (a Perfect Marbled Cut with a satisfying flavor and tendernes perfectly paired with a Spaghetti Aglio Olio).
