The name “Gēn,” meaning “ground roots” in Chinese, mirrors Chef Johnson’s culinary philosophy. He passionately champions the use of an array of natural, locally-sourced ingredients from Malaysia. His dedication to incorporating the freshest seasonal ingredients is evident in his creations, which pay homage to traditional Malaysian flavors, all while accentuating the bold, unadulterated taste of the ingredients themselves.
