Dorsett Hospitality International launches Authentically Sichuan 2018 food promotion from 4 Aug to 29 Aug 2018 at selected participating hotels, namely Dorsett Grand Subang, Dorsett Grand Labuan, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur and Dorsett Putrajaya. For this exciting culinary journey, Dorsett Hospitality International has proudly invited guest chefs – Chef Harley and Chef Teresa from Dorsett Grand Chengdu to showcase their signature Sichuan dishes.
Sichuan cuisine is one of the Chinese cuisines originated from Sichuan province; located in the southwestern China. It is known for its bold flavours which bring numbing sensation, particularly the spiciness resulting from liberal use of garlic and chili peppers, as well as the unique flavour of the Sichuan peppercorn.
During the promotion period of Authentically Sichuan 2018, have a zesty and spicy Sichuanese affair with chefs’ signature dishes such as Soya Chicken with Sichuan Peppercorn Chili Oil, Sichuan Chili Prawn, Mapo Tofu, Sichuan Grilled Eggplant, Baby Beef Ribs with Fresh Green and Red Chili, Sichuan Peppercorn Chicken and Spicy Chili Rabbit Meat to name a few all-time favourites. Nothing is more gratifying than an intense sweat and fiery tongue sensation for ‘Mala’ lovers with various dipping sauces which are served to make the texture of cooked meat smooth while leaving a complex after-taste.
From 4 – 14 August 2018, these authentic creations are available in ala carte and set menu in The Emperor Chinese Restaurant, Dorsett Grand Subang. Patrons may expand their Sichuan dining experience with a great selection of appetisers, main dishes and desserts specially crafted by both Chef Harley and Chef Teresa.

A graduate from SiChuan BaYi Culinary Academy, Chef Harley is the Executive Chinese Sous Chef of Dorsett Grand Chengdu. He has worked previously for HuBei Yi Cheng Rong Hao Hotel and Grand Regal Hotel in Chengdu. Chef Teresa on the other hand is an award winning chef having participated and won numerous culinary awards. She is presently the Chinese Pastry Supervisor at Dorsett Grand Chengdu and is responsible for the creation of innovation dim sum and pastries.
