OctoberFest is a world largest bear festival that was held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The OctoberFest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold OctoberFest celebrations that are molded after the original Munich event.

OctoberFest has always been relates to beer and partying and it is considered a non halal event for our Muslims friends. OctoberFest are not always relates to beer and partying even tough everyone was doing it in European and American countries.

img_2778 Malaysian OctoberFest are a little bit different from the western countries. To us as a Malaysian, OctoberFest are a time for us together around with our family and friends to have a FoodFest instead. But it is still be linked to a non halal gathering event as there are alcohol involved by many people.

Now, our Muslims friend are able to enjoy family and friend accompany while enjoy pork free foods and non alcoholic drinks while experiencing Germany’s OctoberFest celebration at Nexus Bangsar South’s first floor.

We found that this restaurant located at first floor, Nexus Bangsar South named Fratello Italiano are serving pork free foods. We can organize a gathering event at this restaurant that could also suitable for our Muslim friends to join.

In conjunction with October Fest month, Fratello Italiano are launching it’s new dinner set menu worth RM 125++ at only RM 75++ for 2 dinning guest (RM 37.50++ per person). The menu are as per below:

The mock tail consist of Iced Blended Orange Juice with hint of fresh lemon juice & Topple over with Stewart’s Key Lime Soda

 

Starter:

img_2772Fratellos Garlic Bread served with Soup of the Day. The garlic bread is coated with Italian herbs and butter and tapenade (Tapenade  is a rich soft paste made of black olives & Olive oil). I

It’s super crunchy and nice to eat it when it’s hot served with the soup of the day. Perfect combination for a starter.

 

Main Course:

img_2769Handmade Pasta Fettucine Aglio Olio. Enjoy the lovely pasta where it completes with 3 colors variety which made from scratch.  The pasta is then cooked with the olive oil, garlic and herbs with mixed seafood with it.

The pasta is perfectly done with the al-dente texture, and every mouthful is packed with the complete flavors in it.

You can ask for spicy if you like.

img_2725Pizza Ala Funghi. With re owed secret recipe making thin-crust Italian pizza, our pizzas are all “opened” by hand. Pizza ala funghi is with tomato sauce , mozzarella cheese, fresh button mushroom & Oregano herbs .

It’s a super filling dinner set for 2 person. We can’t even finish it when we tried it. One thing for sure, the food that was being served are fresh and super yummy.

 

Dessert:

img_2791Something to add on for those desert lovers, is their signature tiramisu. The homemade Classic dessert of espresso soaked lady fingers between layers of cream. Don’t worry, there is no alcohol in it and it is worthwhile for RM 20++ bucks tiramisu that you will never get it any where.

P/s: It’s the specialty made by the restaurants owner daily as they hold on to the fresh and quality foods principle.

Try this restaurant and you will never regret about it. It’s really value for your money.
